Breed Tag!

Ha roo, everypup! It's me, Stormy! I thought of something while I was out playing in the yard the other day. No... no, it wasn't about retrieving the toy Mom had just thrown - puh-lease!

I was thinking about how fun it is to be a Siberian Husky - we're independent, we're smart, we love to run, we're stubborn - it's really a blast. It made me think, though... and I turned my thoughts into a cool tag game! Here it is:

Based on your pup-onality, if you were a breed other than the one or ones you are now ... what would you be? I'll go first!

I would be a Border Collie. When we lived on Fort Riley, I always went into stalking mode when we got close to where the horses in the Commanding General's Mounted Color Guard were stabled. I transformed my entire being into a focused, serious pup with a gaze zeroed in on nothing except for those horses! Also, Border Collies are highly intelligent, have an "uncanny ability to reason", and have a great work ethic. They have a highly developed bond with people, as well. I'm not sure about the whole "doing what the bipeds tell you to do" thing, but I do love working with them!

The rules of the tag game are:
1. Copy the question above and paste it into your post.
2. Answer it - and give a few reasons for why you think you'd be that breed or breeds.
3. Post these rules!
4. Tag ONE other blogger. If there are multiple pups within the same pack/blog, each pup should only respond when he or she is tagged. One at a time!
5. Most importantly, HAVE FUN!

I'm going to tag fellow Siberian Frankie! I can't wait to see what she comes up with!

Tail wags,
Storms

  2. Hello Stormy! I have been incarcerated in the so called Dog Hotel for the past 10 days so I am all behind catching up with your news.

Even though I no longer have a blog I like to look in now and again as you know.

I think a Border Collie would be an amazing breed to be. Well I am bi-assed it seems either my Ma or my Pa was a Border Collie.

Although my J says I actually have a "canny inability to reason", but you know me from old, always get things confused!

    Mucho love and licks,

  4. Those border collie's make great herders too. They do love to work and they don't have as hard a heads as heelers. Us hard headed? Never we are supposed to chase those sheep just to watch them run. He he The trainer keeps saying heelers just take longer to train because we are stubborn.

  9. I can see that about you Stormy. You do well at herding your puppies, so a Border Collie would be a good breed for you!

  12. Border collies are lovely dogs. It would suit you, nearly as much as being a husky does.

Please tell Am that her alliteration was very good indeed.

This sounds like great fun. I don't know too many Border Collies but they seem pretty determined to go at top speed all of time.

  16. Stormy,
What a great game! I (Kathryn) took a breed quiz on Dogster a few weeks ago, and it told me I would be a boarder collie, too! But here's an important question for you: what should we do for dogs like Ari who are mixed breeds? Would she have to pick two breeds for the game?
