Serene Scenery Sunday

Hi everypuppy and everykitty!  It's me, Amber!  I have a little bit different Serene Scenery Sunday post for you today.  In reading your blogs, it seems to me that some of you might need a peaceful place to escape to.  A place where no one can find you, no one can do evil things like brush you, bathe you, or brush your teeth.  A place where you can hide!  I've offered to share my own secret retreat with some of you, and I thought I'd show you just how serene it is!  Everypuppy and everykitty, I give you... the dining room table!

There it is, behind me.  When I need an escape, a place of solitude and serenity, I just go under there and I'm safe from all the world's problems.  Let's go in, shall we?

Doesn't it look quiet in there?  Not that you can see me... but if you could!

I can see what's going on in the breakfast room from there and the living room, too.  Here I am, checking out the living room:

See, even though I'm tucked away from where Mom can find me, there are other elements to deal with.  Can you see one of those elements in this next picture?

Yes, that's the Zimstigator on the right side of the photo.  And can you see just over my head, who's back there?  Take a look in this photo:

Yes, it's Davy.  And when the Zimstigator starts zimstigating, Davy just has to respond.

Dave and Zimmie

Fortunately for me, I'm safely tucked away in my own special tranquil oasis.

Ah!  Sweet serenity!

Have a serene Sunday.  And seriously, if any of you need to share my escape with me, just let me know.  No one will ever find us!

Love,
Ammy

  1. Ammy, probably the onlyest, singlest advantage to being an only dog is that you might have to hide from Mom and there are about a thousand places to do this. No challenge at all.

Good work on your part, though!

    Kisses,
    Stella

  2. Very nice! Can I come hang out there with you? I have a secret serene spot between a tree and our fence. It's quite cozy there.

  3. oh yes, I would like to squeeze in here with you Amber! We could have a laugh as well, and a giggle, where no person could find us!

My mama says your dining room chairs look like something called "Ercol", she wonders whether she is right?

I bark - just ignore her - I mean I ask you, chairs named after something or some dog, whatever next?

  4. ah that does look very peaceful. Aunti Penny always goes under the dining room table (well it be the kitchenroomtable here) Does that mean she be trying to get away from me?

Also, please tell Dave that I is sorry about his fruit tree. I hopes he can come to terms with its sad loss soon.

  5. What a great idea Ammy! I hadn't thought of that! I usually go under mommy's bed. There's only room for one, and it's MY place!!

  6. Hi, Ammy!
Yes, that place sure looks serene!
I like to go under the dinning room table when my grandma is "playing" with the mop!

  7. That's a great spot, Ammy - Thunder has discovered it here too. We saw Davy's eye peeking through the chair legs too. Hope woo are as lucky as we are - we find all sorts of tasty crumbs under there when the kidlets are here for lunch.

  8. Amy I love your escape,I too like to go under the table. You should ask your mom for a table cloth, b/c then you would really be hidden. =)

P.S. Eva says that sometimes it's safest to be tucked away where other pups can't step on your tail.

That's a wonderful hiding place. We'll have to give it a try. Yesterday we were brushed, had our nails clipped and long hairs trimmed - it was a nightmare!

  12. Thanks Ammy. I'm still not sure what to do because we don't have a dining room table, just barstools in the kitchen. Maybe I can hide under the patio set.

  13. That's a good spot to hide Ammy because you are away from the action yet you can still see what's going on around you. Good thing you found that spot before anyone else did!

  14. I sure wish I could see how much you are enjoying your secret place. Mom seems to think she can see you, but she is real old and is just imagining things.

  19. I love under-furniture places, in fact, I was just under the coffee table in the peeps' family room, and someone (I don't know who) walked by outside our house. Instead of getting up and investigating, cause I was tired, I just barked a lot very loudly from my "Under" place, so you see, I understand completely! Good on you!

  25. Ammy, you've found the perfect spot..all you need is for mom to put a table cloth over the dining room table and then you've got the perfect fort! I'd like to sit up on one of the chairs and take a nap.

You know what? The DEEVE did Do-buy! Mom took pictures! W00t!

  28. What a fabulous oasis!! Our chairs are too close together for me to fit or I would probably do the same thing. Maybe I can learn how to move them. :)

  29. I have several of those spots, from under the desk to under the table too! Those are the best spots. Yesterday I found a new one outside, under the patio furniture. That was cool too!
