It is a pocket gate that dad made out of oak. The boy does get lucky sometimes and opens it but he'd have to take out the wall to actually knock down the gate.
Great toy collection. In that last picture, we have a red kong just like that which has been around the house for 7 or 8 years. it was Nikita's for a while. Don't know how it keeps lasting.
