Ha roo, everypup and everykitty! It's me, Zim! This week's Serene Scenery focuses on the sun. Let's start with a shot of the sun setting over the Flint Hills.
Gorgeous, isn't it? And here's a panoramic photo Mom put together:
Mom's been getting into the panoramic thing because our skyline is just so vast! We have a great view off our upper deck and just can't fit our whole sunset into one photo! In fact, Stormy had Mom shoot a couple videos. They're both from Wednesday, the 25th. So are the photos above! Here's the first vid:
We hope you can get a good idea of how "much sky" we have here! This next one was shot about an hour later:
Aren't all the changes in the sky remarkable!?!
Speaking of changes... before our weather took a turn for the better (from the 60s/70s to being in the single digits) we spent a lot of time as a family out on the deck. While I love snow and frigid temps as much as the next Siberian, the honorary kitty-cat in me just LOVES laying in the sun. Here's my own contribution to Serene Scenery SUNday:
It just felt soooooo good!
Play bows,
Zim
Beautiful sky lines..
ReplyDeleteMother nature just can't make up her mind. Hot to cold here in Texas too.
Zim you lay just like I do.. Cooling your underside..
Big Sloppy Kisses

hey Zim, while we were watching your Mum's grrrrreat sky videos, my Jeannie was clicking her red shoes, she says just watching your wonderful skies makes her think of the Wizard of Oz film!
ReplyDeleteShe was half expecting the dreaded tornado to come down and whisk her away to the Yellow Brick Road!
Lovely pic of you - I lie like that sometimes!
lotsaluv and thank you for your Serene Sunday pic and videos.

Beawootiful & serene videos. Mom liked the chirping birdies. Cool to see the changes! woo look quite cozy there, Zim!

Those are some Pawsome skies you have there. I loved the videos too. we don't have 'Big' skies here. Just lots of stooopid pine trees to fall down, block my views, or at least pee on.
ReplyDelete70 yesterday. Chance of snow today. Crazy!
Cheers,
Ozzie
oh my... these pix and videos are breath taking! We LOVED the videos! They really gave us a true sense of the wonderful view that you have.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of you Zim!!
Lots of Luv & Kisses

Beautiful sky photos! Kansas certainly does have a huge sky!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture made me chuckle!
wow, I thought Montana was "Big Sky" country, but I think you guys are in good competition with them. It is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHi, Zim!
ReplyDeleteYour sky is pawesome. The cloud made it very interesting!
Here is a little cold too!
Have a great SUNday!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
You sky is just exquisite, Zim! We never ever get tired of sky photos!
ReplyDeleteGuess what? We got snow this morning but so far only a dusting! More is predicted! Our paws are crossed!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Beautiful pics and videos. I love a nice sunset and so does mom!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Stella
Froggy Doggy Zim. Looked very comfortable to us! And the sky videos are beautiful, but we wanted more snow pictures !
ReplyDeleteYou guys would love it here today. It SNOWED! We hate snow. Jan said she moved here because there isn't supposed to be snow, except in very rare instances. Okay, we haven't had any stick in a couple of winters, but guys, it SNOWED! And we woofies have to walk in it.
ReplyDeleteBuddy: What do you mean, Rusty? We're not whining. We're trying to tempt these guys to come take our snow home with them.
Zim you look great sitting like a frog!
ReplyDeleteYour skies are cool, them clouds look like train tracks.
~lickies, Ludo
None of the OP Pack sits like Zim does and it is just so cute to see.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skies - we were able to bigify them quite easily. Your Mom does a great job on her panoramas
The sound of birdies was quite nice - but where did spring go this weekend? It is cold and we still have snow. Some of us love it, the bipeds don't - something about too much ice under the snow and shoveling it.
Woos, the OP Pack
BOL...that bottom pic is too cute. I enjoyed hearing the chirping birdies on the video. :)
ReplyDeleteZim, you look so relaxed! :) Mom loves it when I sit like that, but I rarely do it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your beautiful sky pics and videos! It was very soothing.
Mochi
What great skies. I used to lay like that when I was a puppy, mom said it is good for the hips. =)
ReplyDeleteFurry pretty skies :)
ReplyDeleteWe live in Western Australia and since the sun sets in the west we have pawsome sunsets ev-furry night. We live near the beach so its like watch the sun sinking into the ocean ev-furry night. Furry cool. I will see if I can get Mum to post a pic sometime soon.
Big licks to you

Such pretty skyline!! The color and clouds are great! We don't have that kinda view at our house cuz of our neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteLove your "lounge" pose. Monty likes to lay like that too.
Holly
wow Zim. That is awesome flexibility you have there. I'll bet you have a good pen hip rating.
ReplyDeleteSimcha
Oh woh.. the sky really looks very nice on your side..
ReplyDelete~ Bae
