For me, it all started with Harley, a fellow Sibe in Pennsylvania. When his mom saw a picture of me, she thought I could be Harley's twin -- right down to my "pickle nose"! Huh?
Harley (pictured at right) told me, "Pickle Nose comes from a "Digital Underground" song called "The Humpty Dance". There is a line in the song that goes, "My nose is big! Big like a pickle!" ... Mom sang that to me when I was a puppy because my nose was soooo big and was covered in all of my pickle nose spots...it just sort of stuck...even after some of my spots faded." Since Harley and I are twin sons of different mothers, we're both called "Pickle Nose" now. :)
For the record, I've never heard that "Digital Underground" group; I have some rather specific musical preferences! I love jazz... like the old standards or Matt Bianco or maybe Basia when she woos in Polish. I also LOVE old Sergio Mendes and the Brazil '66, especially "Mas Que Nada". Mom and I pretend we can woo in Portuguese and woo with them. AND, last but not least, I love the bagpipes and Celtic fusion.
But back to being a pickle nose.... mom doesn't think my nose is big or anything, she just loves the freckles and think they look like bumps on a pickle. :) I always get smoochies on them. Me and my freckles are pictured at left. Who can resist my pickle nose? Wooooo!
Bagpipes!!! Wooo I love bagpipes...did you see the picture of me playing the bagpipes on the T-shirts mom designed for MaPaw? Actually, I guess it could be Woo...wol!!!!ReplyDelete
Wooo...forgot to sign my postReplyDelete
Woo! Have I SEEN it? My mom HAS one! And all the bipeds ask if it's me on the shirt. Now I know why -- since it's woo!ReplyDelete
Luv back bro! Dave
I wish I had a pickle nose! Do you think I can get one now?ReplyDelete
You've got lovely eyes. Of course, I'm a dude, so don't mean it that way. Just making an observation!ReplyDelete
Hey Turbo - I'm not sure. We keep pickles in the fridge here and there are certainly a lot of "NO"s around here -- if you catch my drift! I'm not sure how to put 'em together.ReplyDelete
T-man - Thank woo. I'm the only pup here with matching eyes, so I feel a little different sometimes. YOur compliment made me feel better!
