Are you ready to see where we were? Hey, Zim! Why don't you show everyone!
"It's the Kansas Ocean, Dave!"
Yep! Many of you guessed correctly - we took Mom to the Kansas Ocean! It was great - we walked all over the place, then Mom wanted us to pose for a few pictures. Here I am:
Me. The Deeve.
What can I say? Mom brought treats with her. (You can see the individual shots on FlickR, if you'd like.)
Zim posed for one photo...
My kid brother, Zim.
...then lost interest in the treats.
He's not quite as food motivated as I am.
We walked around a bunch more, then Mom tried to get us to pose together. Here's how that went:
We tried. Well... one of us tried. Two, if you count Mom.
We'll share some of the more scenic pix tomorrow, for Serene Scenery Sunday, then the iPhone shots on Monday!
Thanks for coming to the ocean with us! Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Luv,
Dave
You guys crack us up with that Kansas Ocean..BOL Have a fun day

I can post you a few mountains, we have a few spare here. Would you like some rain, we have had a great deal today, and I also have some of this to spare.
ReplyDeleteMy Jeannie is "bristling" with anger, cos the national radio is playing "Heatwave" by Martha and the Vandellas, to celebrate the 30 degrees plus heat the English are getting, and we have more rain than a dog can deal with.
Soggy Marvin who likes your photos, especially the ocean. How clever to have your own ocean in Kansas. I am in Awe, well I am in Scotland, but in Awe as well.
Marvin xx
Woo, the Kansas Ocean! All that grass thru us off. Great pics - but woosers, Dave, woo look HOT just look at your tongue hanging out!
ReplyDeleteWe had a little rain....which drove the humidity back up, so we're hanging in mom's office with the a/c today.

We think that if Kansas has an Ocean then there certainly could be a mountain too!
ReplyDeleteWe think your pictures turned out really good! The ones with the two of you, well, you just need to work on your coordination of when to look at the camera. Both of you boys are so handsome though!
Oh no! We said that you weren't at the Kansas Ocean because we didn't see water! I guess we were wrong!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Oh the Kansas mountains and Ocean looks so lovely.. Great pictures of you all.. We will be right over for a dip in the Ocean..

What a great visit to the KO you had!! Davie you did a great job posing for those pictures, maybe if your Mom held one of those duckies or froggies you could get Zim to look at the camera! BOL
ReplyDeleteLicks,
Kylie
We love the Kansas Ocean very much. We got it wrong! No problem though....we love the Kansas Ocean and love the pictures very much! We'll glad you had so much fun! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
ReplyDeleteaww those are some great pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh the Kansas Ocean...how exciting! It looked very calm and serene there. I LOVED your pictures! Ammy, MOm says she is not sure how her parents picked her name but she was going to be called Melissa until her cousin was named that and then they decided on Amber. :) Clearly, they made a good choice. ;)

What a great Kansas ocean you haves! I wish I could see it! And if I could I would share some of our CA mountains with you.
ReplyDeleteWe likes the pictures!
Hey Dave,
ReplyDeleteTHE KANSAS OCEAN? Our dad dug out all of his old Annapolis books and his career cruise books and he was befuddled by this Kansas Ocean thing. If there's an ocean there's gotta be a Navy. Finally he remembered that back when he was a boot that there was a Navy base in Kansas at some place called Olathe.

Anytway, we're gonna buy the Kansas Ocean thing; even as far fetched as it seems.

Oh no, we are behind and reading newest to oldest so I guess once we get to the guessting one we will already know the answer and appear very smart right? BOL!

Dave? Food motivated? I wonder why we never picked up any clues to that? Grins.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - We can share a mountain or two, if you want.
