Serene Scenery Sunday - The All Skies Version

Hi everypuppy and everycat! It's me, Ammy, resident meteorologist here at Ao4 Headquarters. We didn't do Serene Scenery Sunday last week due to Adopt-a-Zimmie Day, so Storm said I could take today's post to show you what our skies have been like for the past couple of weeks! Yea!

This first one is from the sunset on the 10th of July:

It was almost like a painting!

On the 12th of July, we thought this big cloud was remarkable:

It caused trouble, but not in our immediate area. (Stormy didn't say they had to be all serene photos!)

Here's a really cool sunset!

It's from the 13th. And actually, it was hot, hot, hot. And steamy. It's not only the sunset, but the moonset, too! And if you look closely (at about 11 o'clock up from the moon) you can see Venus, too.

Skipping over to the 16th of July, we had this sunset:

This moved in late in the afternoon of the 20th:

It was a bit disruptive, but really gorgeous, in an "I love cool weather formations" kind of way. Here's another look at the storm clouds:

By sunset that night, though, this is what the sky looked like:

You always have to keep an eye to the sky around here; you never know what's going to happen! (Well, some of us do, but we keep an eye to the sky!)

This was part of our sunset that night, too:

... as was this:

Aren't Kansas skies wonderful!??

I'll finish with two photos from last night! Here's the first:

And here is another look at last night's sunset:

It was a bit toasty out - can you tell?

I hope you enjoyed our sky photos! If you'd like to see more, please feel free to visit our
Sunsets and Sky Shots set on FlickR!

Be sure to tune in this week! Zim and I had a very wonderful adventure yesterday and he got to go back and have more fun!!! It'll take a few days to tell you all about it!!!

Love,
Ammy

  1. Your skies are beautiful! I think there is supposed to be a neat moon tonight, according to Remington. Will you be watching for that?

  2. You do have pretty skies although a couple of those shots made our mommy nervous. She gets scairt when she sees dark clouds. Anyway, our skies are boring and cloudless every day so it was fun seeing your skies! Can't wait to hear about the adventure!

  14. Beautiful pix Ammy! These skies make us think of 'motion', as the formations in the skis seem to be in constant change, and motion.
What a treat these photos are!
