Ch-ch-ch-changes

Woo, it's me - Dave. Remember that old David Bowie song Ch-ch-ch-changes? I don't remember the song well enough to know if he was happy about his ch-ch-ch-changes, but I know I don't really care for the ones around here. As my brother Zim mentioned the other day, Mom rearranged the outer part of the Quilt Studio. No, she didn't ask me first. I'm trying to cope, as best I can. Many thanks to those of you who have asked about me.

Me. In the Studio. Woo.

I'm OK ... really. But check this out! The outside part of the Studio should look like this:

And now? Now it looks like this:

Here it is from another angle:

The big table with the machines should be 180 degrees the other way! Woo. Sure, everything else is where it should be... but the table is all spun around! It's enough to freak a guy out! Oh, woo is me!

On the other paw, when I'm in the inside part of the Studio working and Mom's at the machine, we can see each other now. I kind of like that. She likes that she can see out the windows/doors now and can see the TV better; I like that I can make sure she's implementing all my color choices! Here I am with a recent bag I helped her with:

Groovy, isn't it? She never would have put these fabs together without my help! And since she did trust me with the fab choices ... I guess I'll trust her with the rearranging. As long as it ends there! Woo.

Luv,
Dave

  3. Oh Dave, you do have that sad look to those beautiful blues. But, try to work on the guilt part so you can get more treats!

And, no matter how difficult change can be, it can have it's positive sides too, just as you mentioned. Just give it a while, and soon you will be all accustomed to the new look.

Hugs and kisses from your girl,

  4. Suck it up, Pickle Nose!

The Ao4 needs you to be flexible, adaptable. Have you not read Sun Woo?

According as circumstances are favorable, one should modify one's plans.

  5. I get very very upset when the furniture gets moved at my house, I tend to FREAK out also. I don't know why they have to mess with stuff?!

  6. Our mom rearranges the furniture all of the time too. And she paints and does all sorts of redecorating without our help. Frankly, Dave, it's easier to stay out of her way! When she gets on a mission to redecorate, she mens business! Your sewing studio makes mom jealous - our mom has to share hers with the guestroom, so she cannot spread out as much as she'd like

  8. I sympathise Dave, I don't like it when mum changes things around here either. They put a new picture up on the wall and I kept staring at it because I didn't trust it! Perhaps Stormy could have a word to your mum about it?

  10. ::gasp!:: Just what was she thinking?! Maybe that fresh, spring air got to her and she had a sudden momentary lapse in judgement. Although I must admit, it is rather nice that she has a better view of you. That would be quite beneficial to her creative inspriation.

  14. Jan pulls that on us too. Moves things around and we lose our favorite spots. So we have to find new ones. And then we settle in until the next big shuffle.

Zim stopped by and said I owe Buddy and Sam. I agree they got a raw deal since the Fed-Ex box was full of cat litter and there were no treats included for them. But it isn't my fault. It's Jan's. She owes them.

And she owes us felines too because there weren't any treats for us either. At least Buddy and Sam got to eat the box.
