Market Day!

Ha roo, pups and cool cats!  It's me, Zim.  Wednesday was Farmers' Market day here in the Little Apple, and guess who got to go?  That's right - ME!  It was great fun - are you ready to have a look around!??!

I like to get a general feel of the whole place before I visit the vendors.

"Pineapples?  Hmm... something tells me their stuff might not be home-grown..."

It's all about knowing who to buy from - who's got the freshest of the fresh, that kind of thing.

I spotted a table of nothing but peppers!  Since Dave's from Texas, I thought we should bring some home to him - Mom thought maybe not.

"Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers..."

I settled for saying that a few times - then came up with another idea of something for Dave.  Check this out:

"Hmm..."

I ordered him a couple tamales to go.

Dad stopped at this place for some tomatoes and zukes...

... while Mom and I went over to admire some cukes:

We moved on down the line and inspected some potatoes:

"One potato, two potato, three potato, four..."

There was lots more to see, so we moved on.

Mmm... Kettle Corn!  But wait!  It gets better!  This is what I was looking for!!!  Check it out:

"I'd like 103 of these, please!  ...and one for my bipeds, too!"

That's right!  The BEST, the juiciest, the sweetest watermelon in all the land!  I think I ordered enough for all of us, so come on over!

"Let's try one or two of these, too!"

I got extra stuff, in case you guys can make it.  See you soon?

Play bows,
Zim

  15. We've got a teeny tiny farmers market near us that we love to go too - but most of them are very commercial! We would love to go to one like yours.
