He looks comfy, doesn't he? And Zim is still watching for that puppy, in case he walks past the house again.
Can you see that tree in the background? That's our White Ash tree. That's one of the things Mom went out to photograph. Here's a close up. Isn't it pretty?
I'm no Dave.... but it doesn't look "white" to me! Hee hee hee! We have a Purple Ash, too, but Mom didn't get a shot of it before the leaves fell off. Here are the Amur Maples, though:
It's the view from the deck! They're pretty, aren't they? I like the Pampas Grass, too - back there by the Austrian Pine. I sometimes get confused and call it a "pompous" grass, though. Hee hee hee! Confusing, isn't it?
Speaking of confusing terms ... a man who used to work for my dad got a little tongue-tied about a certain kind of reptile. Instead of "Komodo Dragon" .... he'd always say ....Kimono Dragon!
The elusive Kimono Dragon
Hee hee hee! I think the Kimono Dragon is native to Japan; I'll have to ask Jazz and Dixie! Hee hee hee!
Have a happy day, everypuppy!
Love,
Amber

Mom has a Kimono I hope she doesn't turn into a dragon! Your yard looks really pretty with all of those colors!
ReplyDeleteHi Guys
ReplyDeleteThe Kimono dragon looks very scary. I wouldn't sniff him. Sorry I haven't visited your blog lately .. my mum is always busy (sigh). The trees look very pretty. It's nice to be a part of nature.
Love from Hammer
Woof! Just dropping by to tell you about a cool offer Dogster and Shutterfly have right now - where you can get free photo cards of your little sweetie...check it out!
ReplyDeleteVery beautifwol pictures. Our mommy loves taking nature photos too but like we said before daddy broke her camera. :-(
ReplyDeleteWe are with everyone else.. That Kimono Dragon sure looks creepy. We have to remember to avoid them!!!
Love and Licks,
Quincy & Tristin
That is a great picture of Dave chilling out on the deck. You pups must just love hanging out on the deck and letting the wind blow through your fur.
ReplyDeleteKat
Ooooh, purday fall pictures, the trees and leaves are so pretty aren't they? Ya'll look like you have so much fun keeping watch from the deck... what a great look out point!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love fall pics & I love leaves & chasing leaves & running through the leaves...too bad we dont' really have falling leaves here in San Diego....Maybe I can pull some palm tree branches down...that might work.. Nice security work on the deck as well..no one gonna come & break into your pad!
ReplyDeleteLove & Licks,
Randi
Hi Guys,
ReplyDeleteYes we've seen a few Kimono Dragons around Tokyo. Some dressed very beautifully. We had a good little chuckle.
Your garden looks very colourful. The leaves in the park here have started to change colour too but we are still waiting for the most beautiful of all - the ginko trees that line the street near our apartment. They look like a line of gold in the autumn sun when their leaves turn yellow.

You all look so cool on the deck. Important for the pack to stick together and look assertive.
ReplyDeleteMe and Prince used to do that, but now there is only me so I have to look assertive on my own. :( Of course if you came to visit me there would be two of us. :)
I am working on the questions Am, honest.
Pippa xx
Your garden is gorgeous! How do you manage to not dig up all of those plants???
