Running Errands

Hey everypup! It's me - Zim! So ... the other day, I saw Mom try to sneak out of the house to go somewhere in the car. I said, "Hey, Mom! Take me with you!" I just love to go for car rides! I even tried sneaking into the garage. I can squirt through that doorway REAL fast when I want to! Anyroo... she said she was just going to go to the vet's to get a couple prescriptions refilled for the girls and would be right back and I said, "I love going to the vet's! Please, take me with you!" She paused, then said, "OK... Quick! Before everyone else hears us!" Cool! I'm in! Though I don't know why she wouldn't let all four of us come ....!

Here I am, cruising past our park. It's the county fair grounds AND the city/county park. They call it CiCo Park. Like "see-co". Mom thought it was "chico" for the longest time ... biped language isn't as articulate as ours, is it, pups?

We pulled in at the vet's and I couldn't wait to go in. The ladies at the Discharge Desk (that's where we pick up meds) are always REALLY sweet! Here I am, being greeted!

Ha roo! I'm here for Storm and Am's meds, please!

She gave Mom the meds while I signed the credit card slip. After that, I offered to eat the potted plant on the desk.

Mom tugged me down for some odd reason and said that really funny, "Zimmieno!" thing. I have no idea what it means.

When we got outside, I met the cutest little English Bulldog! Her name was Daisy or Dixie or something. She was about one year old and was simply adorable! We got to do sniffies with each other and her mom said I was such a handsome, well-behaved gentleman. Well... of COURSE! Mom didn't get any pix of us together, 'cause we were too excited and all - but we did stop over beside the hospital so I could have my picture taken with this Golden Retriever, a vet and a little biped. They weren't nearly as fun as the Bulldog!

I was still looking for my little Bully friend!

We left the vet's and drove around town a little. I saw something INCREDIBLE from the window and asked Mom to pull over! It was what we've been waiting for, pups! I'm out of time today - but be sure to check in on Monday! Wowzers, do I have a story to tell!

Play bows,
Zim

  4. Man, you are lucky! Whenever I go for a ride I have to sit in the TRUNK!!!! I hate it. I also hate the Vet (no offese). She creeps me out a little. Especially with her prickly pencil things that she puts into my skin. Life is so interesting.....I can't wait for the story on Monday!

  6. Frankie: Ha roo! Just you WAIT! It'll blow you away!
Oh... yeah! I'll grab Dave and the car keys and we'll come on over! How about shopping, then a pool party at your place?

Sitka: Ha roo roo roo! This is REALLY worth waiting for. You won't believe it!
    I LOVE riding shotgun!

Hey Maggie! Nah... they understood. Besides, we went on a big family walk afterwards. They WERE excited to smell the Bulldog on me, though!

Abby: The TRUNK!?!? You can't mean the TRUNK!! Can you?

Steve: Are you on pins and needles?!?!? I didn't want the post to be too long, so I split it up!

    Play bows,

  8. Oh waiting is not easy. It is like trying to do a sit stay. I am right on track, then I smell something interesting or see a tree I would like to mark and forget what I am doing. Then Mama is talking and I have forgotten to pay attention. I hope I do not forget to pay attention Monday. I will have to concentrate really hard.

  9. Hey Zim, Tasah here. I can't get enough car rides. When I see the back of our DUV upen, I tell the humans to "HURRY UP LET'S GO" real loud! How could your mom have gotten that errand done without you? You're so helpful! Eating the plant would have been a just reward. Can't wait for the next post! Eva thinks the giant is back after hibernating over the winter! Belly Rubs, Tasha

  11. Ivy: Monday will come - honest! And yes... bipeds DO have strange ideas about what is important!!!

Magnum: A sit-stay? Nah... not going to happen around here. Ha roo! Unlike a sit-stay, I encourage you to go do zoomies, play with some toys, go on walkies - whatever! - then tune back in on Monday!

Butchy & Snickers: This was a great trip to the vet's; all I had to do was schmooze Debra at Discharge, sign the Mastercard bill, and say "ha roo" to the little Bulldog babe. I hope your appointments went well!!!

Tasha: I love car rides, too! And I'm a good rider. I'm very quiet and calm in the car.
Oooh... Eva might be on to something!!! She's SMART!

Sitka: A plane? Is that one of those mechanical birdie things? Ha rooo, no! Why get one of those when I can learn how to drive the CAR?!?!?

  14. Marley: It'll be worth the wait! Trust me (I'm a Siberian!). Ha roo roo roo.

Peanut: Our vets are ALL great! We love all of the bipeds who work there!
