We Tried!

Play bows, everypup! It's me, Zim! I hope everyone had a wonderful, happy and safe Christmas.
Me and Dave tried real hard to stay up and wait for Santa to arrive at midnight. As we have confessed, in past years, we haven't made it much past 2100 hours.
Here's a picture of me just as I was really starting to fade.
Mom let me borrow her watch so I could keep track of time. Amber called me a "watch dog". Ha roo! Good one, Am!
I thought for sure it was almost time for Santa! I was SO tired! Dave came over to check on the time.

Whatcha think, little guy? It's really late, isn't it? I'm so sleepy .... it's gotta be almost midnight - and that's Santa Time! What's the watch say?

Hmm... in case you can't read it -- it was 2100 hours. A couple minutes past, actually.

We tried. We really wanted to meet Santa ... but we couldn't make it! Maybe next year?

Play bows,
Zim

Nice try! Next year drink some coffee - I hear that helps keep you awake. Or cappucino .. I know one of you guys love that stuff!

  2. That's ok Zim. None of us made it to midnight either. I usually head to bed right after dinner, so by 2130, I'm definitely snoozing!

    Better luck next Christmas!

  4. Oh well, there is always next year. How do you suppose Santa Paws gets his doggies to stay up so late to pull the sleigh?

  5. But if you are awake, Santa can tell and doesn't come in!

  6. Ooh, that's good you fell asleep. Santa might pass by if he knows you're still awake. That what my mom said anyway.

  9. We are sure Santa was good to you, he called at our house first on his way to you! And I stayed up and had a word with him, told him there were Four Good Dogs awaiting him excitedly in America!

  11. I slept through Santa's visit, too, and I'm so embarrassed! I mean, nothing is supposed to get by a Bullmastiff! Oh, the shame!
Maybe we should all try together next year, using the twilight bark, like in 101 Dalmations?

  12. Zach: I definitely needed a cappuccino!!! Why won't the bipeds let me have a big cup full?

    HollY: You guys, too, huh?

FuFu: See? It's the coffee factor! Or lacking thereof!

Dachsies: I think Santa lets his guys have COFFEE!

Buster: Oooh, really? Hmm... I didn't think about that!

T-man: I didn't know it worked that way with Santa!

Cubby: We took lots of naps first; they didn't seem to help.

Jay: He DID leave us cool presents!

Marvin: You got to see Santa?!?! And you told him we were good puppies?!?? Wow, what a great friend, Marv-man! Thanks!

Miss Stella: That sounds like a good idea - unless what Buster and T-man's mom said is true. I don't want to have Santa pass us by!

    Ha roo and play bows,
    Zim
