Hey pups, Zim here! Know what's really fun? AND sends the bipeds into a mild panic? (I hope Sooky is paying attention; Macie and Malechai already posted great tips for her, but this could help her earn HULA membership!) Here's a little game I played last week. It was soooo entertaining!
After everyone is back from the afternoon forced road march, we usually go downstairs to work in the study or the quilt studio. Let everypup go first. Hold back on flying down the stairs. "Oh... I'm going to go on Guard Duty in the bedroom." Let the bipeds see you saunter in there before they head down.
Wait until it's time to come upstairs. When everyone has come back up and the door to downstairs has been closed... wait for the "Where's Zim?" questions. "I thought he stayed up here." "Maybe so. I'll check the bedroom." "I'll check the kitchen and dining room." Ha roo roo roo.... patience, pups. Wait for them to check the entire main level. Panic will start to set in. One of the bipeds will run back downstairs to check that level. "Maybe he did go downstairs." He or she will come back up, elevated pulse now... "He's not down there!" Meanwhile, the other biped has checked every nook and cranny on the main level. You've got their full attention now. They'll start to wonder if you somehow learned how to unlock and open the doors ... recheck all the areas they already checked ... "WHERE IS HE?!?!?" Wait for it ....
This is about the time they'll finally look straight up over their heads.....

What's all the excitement down there?
Ha ROO! Now THAT'S entertainment! And you have a great seat in the balcony to enjoy the show.
Pup, that's fun.

Zim,
ReplyDeleteYou are very sneaky. It took a minute for me to find you in the picture. I sometimes like to hide from my parents but our house isn't very big. And I have a hard time sitting still so my tags on my collar tend to give me away.
Later,
Althea
Althea: It's a GREAT hiding spot, isn't it? Ha ROO!
ReplyDeleteButchy & Snickers: Well.. if working out is all about getting your pulse rate up, they COULD think of it as my way of helping them get some PT in. Ha roo roo roo!

Zim
Wow Zim! I wish I had a balcony to keep a sharp eye on Dad and Mati too! That's good! I did that to Dad when he was doing yard work. I didn't mean to, I was just sticking close to him. He started to panic and ran around the yard looking behind the large trees - you could see the fear on his face... until he turned around :-)
ReplyDeleteRocky
About a day or 2 after I came to live with my Human, I fell asleep behind the couch (which was up against the wall). My Human couldn't find me and she was freaked out!
ReplyDeletezim, hilarious!! we have only one level, so that doesn't work at my house!
ReplyDeleteHi Zim,
ReplyDeleteYes that sounds like much fun. I will have to try that when I get a chance, Thanks, Puppy kisses, Sooky
Zim, that sure sounds fun. Haa great balcony seat you got during the show. :)

Ooh, that's a great picture. You're hard to see, but I finally found you!
ReplyDeleteT-man
What a great game Zim! Hope Sooky took notes! You're a very funny boy, haroooooo!
ReplyDeleteFace Licks, M&M
Rocky, you are SUCH a good shepherd! That's pretty funny that your dad didn't see you!
ReplyDeleteTubey, that must have scared the DAYlights out of your human. Way to go. :) (Um... I mean ... as long as you were OK and all!)
Joe, that would make it hard. Maybe you could try Tubey's trick with the couch!
Sooky, it's FUN! Just don't push it TOO far. Don't leave the safety of the house!
Fu Fu: Pass the popcorn! Ha roo!
T-man: I am the stealth Sibe!
M & M, we all have to help educate the wee ones! Ha rooo!
Play bows,
Zim
I have played that game by hiding behind the heat pump. I am just thinking about Mama and Papa's cardio health.
ReplyDelete-Magnum
It is always fun to freak the humans out by letting them think you are "missing." Then you just watch then run around looking for you and freaking out cuz they think you might have gotten loose.
ReplyDeleteOh the joy!
Holly
Magnum: We Sibes do a LOT for bipeds' cardio-vascular health! Ha roo for doing your part! :)
ReplyDeleteHolly: I even do it to Amber and Dave, too. Stormy is always on to me, though.
