And... We're Off!

Ha roo, pups and cool cats!  As many of you know, I just love going on my afternoon adventures with my mom.  It doesn't matter where we go, it's just that we're going!  I love it!  Sometimes we leave on foot, and sometimes we head out in the car.  When we do travel in the car, we can't just jump in and go, though.

"Safety first, Mom!"

Your biped shouldn't get in the car without a seatbelt, so neither should you!  (Or restrained in a carrier or something...)  So - before we head out on an adventure...

" ♩Buckle up for safety, buckle up! ♩"

Do any of your bipeds remember that jingle?  (Click here for a reminder.)

Sure, sometimes I'm not keen on getting buckled in - but it's for my own good AND ... AND ... after I do buckle up, we get to go places like this:

For those of you who wondered why we call it the Top of the World ...

Isn't that worth it?

"That's what I'm talking about!  Now let's get out and start exploring!"

This has been a public service announcement.  We now return to our normal programming.  Ha roo roo roo!

Play bows,
Zim

  1. OK Ok confession time. (clears throat) I do not buckle up. My MOM always does, but I do not. Until recently, about a year now, MOM never thought of it. Am I to old to start? I don't think so. You can teach an old dog safety tricks, right? Maybe then I can to go to the top of the world. Your PSA has had an impact, thank Zim.

  3. Momma buckles me up, and I don't like it at ALL. But like you said, safety first!

But hey, since you're in the car already, why don't you and Dave make a little road trip to Texas?

  6. mom buckles up (though doesn't remember that song)...we travel in carriers - when we have to travel. Sometimes Bourbon just wears his harness and leash, but only on REALLY short trips.

  9. We used to hate putting on our seat belts. It probably has something to do with the fact that Mom bought them right before we moved to Seattle, so the first time we wore them, we had to ride for 3 days from Texas to Washington. Now we don't bat an eye and know we are going to do something fun. Does Dave go on car rides? Wilbur gets car sick, so he doesn't really get to go unless absolutely necessary.

  11. great PSA, Zim! and for sharing another great jingle (we can't think about stinky goodness without breaking into your song :D)! We are always in our carriers when in the car and Wriggley is buckled into the back seat. You know, we just thought The Top of the World was a Ao4-ism :D have a great adventure, wherever you are going!

  16. Hi there, I love seeing your adventures! When I got the halti for Hunter(that was too big)it was the gal at the pet store that told me to get that size, even though I was sure it was too big(our trainer had previously tried one on him). She argued with me, assuring me that the x-small would be too small and I left without trying it on. I won't go back to that store again-just didn't care for it. Next time I will try it on before I buy it. Have a great weekend.
