I could have faced the other way..... but I was going for an artsy mirror image thing.
Mom and Mom-o-Harley went for a redhead next.
Hey Dave! Check it out! It's me, Zim!
I admit, I was a tad jealous at first. But I love Zim and I love the colors Mom used; I had to help her choose the fabs or it never would have looked like my little brother.
Har's mom has designed a block of each of my sisters but my mom hasn't made them yet. I want to do quilts of Harley's sisters, too!
We interrupt this posting to bring you a special announcement! Stormy just handed me this important breaking news. This is the village our friend Rocky devoured. WOW!!!!! He said he helped his dad rebuild it, so I don't see what all the fuss is about. Oddly, his dad said he'll never make gingerbread houses again. Wonder why not? I think he's got real talent!
Hope you enjoyed seeing a couple of our little quilts. Zim and I are really touched to be "captured" in a stained glass quilt! and appreciate the talent and hard work Harley's mom put into them. Oh. Our mom, too.
Zim in repose
I hope they'll reconsider that whole Empress Woo thing.
Luv,
Dave
Wow. Those are gorgeous quilts! You mom and Harley's mom are very talented.
ReplyDeleteMagnum
Those are beautiful quilts! They look so good on the front door. Now why would Rocky's dad want to quit making gingerbread houses? He's so good at it? He must not quit...drool...
ReplyDeleteTerrific quilts. Pappy exploited your likenesses in his latest music vid. Hope that's OK.
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt Dave! Your mom should make one of each of you and them put it together as a tapestry to hang on the wall. That way she will always have your beautiful faces looking at her!
ReplyDeleteI think you should e-mail those quilt people and tell them what a "woo" really is, cuz they seem slightly confused!
Hollybollyboo
Magnum: Thank woo. My mom thinks Harley's mom is INCREDIBLE!
ReplyDeleteT-man: Thank woo! I hope Rocky's dad reconsiders. He's very talented ... and Rocky certainly appreciates his efforts!
Pappy: What a riot! Thank woo!
Holly: Thank woo! I think mom should make one of all of us big enough for me to snuggle on!
And yeah... not the "woo" I expected. Though I do like the Steely Dan song "Dr. Woo." Or "Dr. Wu." One of the two.
Luv,
Dave
those quilts are beautiful! such talent! I guess those thumbs the humans have do come in handy!
ReplyDeletewow! I am stunned at such beautiful quilts, Jeannie has probs sewing on buttons! They are truly beautiful. Love the tale about the Gingerbread houses......! Cannot imagine why Rocky's Dad has Gingerbreaded out!
ReplyDeleteTell your Mom, Dave, she is one clever and talented lady. ooooh and Harley's Mum has the talented gene as well.........! Love and licks Marv ;0)
Marvin xxxxxx WoP to Ao4
Joe: Thank woo! Imagine the great things WE could do with opposable thumbs!
ReplyDeleteMarvin: Thank woo! And yeah... just 'cuz Rocky devoured the entire village when it was behind a closed door is no reason to stop making them! Oh... and my mom has problems sewing buttons on, too. :) Wooooooooooooo!
Luv,
Dave
I love the quilts. I noticed there is no Dyson quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh my Gosh! Your Mom & Harley's Mom are SOOOOOOO talented! They are so beautiful that even we wouldn't think of chewing them up!
ReplyDeleteFace Licks, M&M
Woohoo! Mike here obo Rocky...First I would like to add - very nice quilts and stained glass. I feel privileged to have seen them during the visit last month. And to the AO4; what a great pack and with special talents. I was very very impressed with them! Poor Rocky was left out and had to settle for sniffing my luggage when I arrived home...and what luck – to find a nylabone inside too!
ReplyDeleteAs for the gingerbread houses, well, some walls and oddly enough, chimneys made it through the storm. What was I thinking?? I ran out to get more powered sugar and forgot to remove the doorknob from the room they were in. I have to admit, it was my fault :-( I don't know what I was thinking. It was a wuff rebuild but made it with tails a-wagg'n!
Tubey: Thanx! And no! No quilt featuring the evil Dyson! Ah woo!
ReplyDeleteM&M: Thank woo. We don't chew up any of mom's quilts. Or we haven't yet. It's our little way of saying "Trust us. We're Siberians." :)
Rocky & Mike: Rocky, your talents are amazing, and we all stand in awe of you. We'd love a tutorial on how to open doors AND the magic cold box. Please? And Mike - we were all THRILLED to meet woo! Booter told Stormy all about you and how wonderful you are - and he was right!
Luv,
Dave
Lovely quilts. Love that stained class look. Chesapeake bay retrievers are not so classy so I tend to make them a little rougher.

Woooooo Ao4...Harley here! I was just admiring the stained glass panel of Juno that your mom made. It is hanging in the bedroom right where mom can admire it. She often says, "How does she get those tiny little stitches soooooo perfect?!?!?"...Mom is something of a clutz and NOT very good at the perfection thing! I'm glad eversibe likes mom's designs...she will be very pleased!
ReplyDeleteWoo to ya later!
Har

Butchy & Snickers: Thanx! Your mom should definitely make a quilt featuring woo two!
FuFu: Thank woo! Unfortunately, Rocky lives about 1,000 miles away from us - or we'd have been HAPPY to help him with the village!
Buster: Cool!
