I went into the bedroom and saw my mom furiously fluffing the bed covers and pulling sheets up and heard her mutter something about "Gotta be quick before Zim comes in here". Hmm. Maybe she didn't want him to over-do; he does work mighty hard around here. I decided to see what I could do!

Actually, I don't have pictures of me helping. I do have a question for you, though.

Did you know that if your mom is trying to make the bed and you lay on half of it and she says, "Off!" ...
... it apparently means "all the way off the bed" and not just "move over to the other side"? According to my mom, anyway.

I think she might not have the latest information on that. I, of course, fell back on my training. I held my ground and just moved from one side to the other and let her work around me. She asked me where I got my new idea about the bed, but I wouldn't tell her.

Zimmie SHOULD be very proud of you! I taught that skill to Abby as well - 'off' NEVER means ALL the way off - it just means off the half of the bed she's working on. Sheesh. Maybe your Mom needs some remedial bad-making training!

ReplyDeleteThat is totally the right approach to helping make the bed! Once I was trying to help make the bed and I didn't get off, so Mom just tucked in all corners of the fitted sheet on top of me to see if that would teach me a lesson. It didn't.
