We saw three Great Blue Herons on our trip! Mom loves those birdies! Here is the first one we saw:
He was pretty far away, but he looked so peaceful out there fishing!
Here's our favorite Sunflower photo:
It was a very yellow day, as there was also tons of Goldenrod in bloom:
If you look closely, there is a bug on the lower left side! Zim wanted me to point that out!
Here is Great Blue Heron number two:
He was pretty far away, too, but seemed to be the best fisherbird of the bunch.
This is Great Blue Heron number three!
He was the closest one to us; we watched him for a long time from our floating dock!
Isn't he beautiful? And he knew we were there, but was OK with it.

Very helpful, don't you think!?! What a nice birdie! Let's watch him in action!!!
Get ready ... and ...
Dive! Dive! Dive!!!
We aren't sure if he got a fishie or not, but it sure was fun to watch him try!
Thanks for sharing part of your Sunday with us. If you'd like to see more pix from my first trip to the lake, we made a special set for them in our FlickR account. Have a wonderful, serene rest of the day!

Your mom got great pictures of the Blue Heron! They visit our pond all the time and it's so much fun to see them fly in with their legs trailing along behind them!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
