Weather Control Device

Ha roo, everypup! It's me - Stormy!
Before I get down to today's important business, I wanted to give everyone a paw's up about a GREAT fund-raiser going on! Our friends over at the Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue are holding an e-Bay auction to help raise money for rescue pups in need! They have all kinds of great items for sale - so grab your bipeds' credit cards and start shopping! For more info, please visit the HHNBR site, the auction site, or read our friend Indy's blog! Thanks! Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue is a non-profit organization as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service pursuant to Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Now... you may have been following our progress, or lack of progress, with our Weather Control Device - found in the side-bar of the Ao4 Digest, right under our Flickr badge. It seemed like such a good idea! Put the code in and start programming in the weather we wanted! We had it set for "cold and snowy"!

Could it get much better than that? (That's me in the picture above, by the way. Mom calls it "The Perfect Storm"! Ha rooo!) I ran the whole thing past Amber, our Weather Specialist, and she said she could dig it. (See below!)

We'll post more another time on Amber's weather predictions. She actually teaches Meteorology at the Stormy Zoluschka Kryschtal School of Siberian Studies - but more on that another time!
But alas! Our Weather Control Device appears to be broken. Or unresponsive, at best. Or perhaps nothing more than a link to the Weather Channel! It's supposed to be in the 50s again today, for rooing out loud! That's when Am had a great idea - look underneath that first weather thing! Yes! A different Weather Control Device, and THIS one is set for Siberia's weather! We hope that by putting them one underneath the other, that the top one, set for Kansas, will get the idea, and copy Siberia's weather! How cool would THAT be? (And the answer to that question is apparently 2 degrees F!)
Wish us luck, everypup!

Tail wags,
Stormy

  1. Sounds like a good idea! Yesterday we heard on the radio that it might snow some here on Wednesday!

  2. We haven't heard any good news like that for us yet... but it's 3 degrees in Siberia!

  3. Hmmmmm ... we don't think we would like it to be that cold. We are short haired doggies and don't have fluffiness to keep us warm. Add to that the concept of dragging certain parts of our anatomies through snow since we are so close to the ground and ... nope, we are REALLY sure we wouldn't like that much cold!

  4. Hi Guys! ooooh it sounds darn complicated your weather device! I use my own form of weather forecasting - I stick my black wet nose out of the door - and if its raining.....I run straight back inside! Ha Ha Ha! It is rainy here today and about 10 degrees centigrade. Much warmer than it normally is in Scotland this time of year! Good Luck with Beta! I am sure it will be fine! Mucho love and licks and Waves of Paws to the AO4 x Marvin xxxx and Jeannie x

  5. Dachsies: Maybe you could get your own Weather Control Device and set it for "70s and sunny" or something!
Marvin: Ammy liked your method of weather forecasting! Ha roo! Maybe we'll have her explain how she can forecast snowfall - or lacking thereof - tomorrow. She has NEVER been wrong! We were trying to use the Weather Control Device to request weather!
Thanks for the good wishes with Beta. We were trying to change templates before, and that didn't go too well; we may give it another go. We just don't want to have to re-do all the sidebar links!

  7. You are very brave to try out the Beta, let us know how it goes. We changed templates a while back and, well you know, we are still trying to get it back together. We like the Siberia weather idea.

  8. Hi Stormy, I love that pic of you. It really is a Perfect Storm. I wish we can get some of that weather over here in Singapore. It's still hot over here...

  12. Hey Dave, you have a beautiful face! You have great "sad" eyes. I think you Sibes have the best "sad" eyes I've ever seen. My step-brother Samuel has the MOST pathetic looks. I like your spots on your nose. My step-sister Abby has spots like those. Very cute!

Hope we get a little snow our way. Unfortunately, it's going to stay west of us. Bummer.
