Cat or Pillow?

Ha roo, pups! It's me - SGT Zim! As many of you know, I have a fascination with bugs! And plants. I was pleased to be able to combine two of my passions just the other day!

Mom went out to water the Sweet Potato vines growing in the mailbox planter and I conned her into letting me help her. I took a look into the vines and said, "Hey Mom, there's something in there!"

She thought it was a tuft of Sibe hair at first, but I said, "No! Get a closer look!"

Here's what we saw!

Mom said it was something called a "cat or pillow". It didn't really look like either one to me ... it just looked like a BUG! Then Mom said it was a bug called a caterpillar. Cool! (I made sure I told Amber my "cat or pillow" joke and she really liked it!) Here's another loook!

It kind of looks like Sibe hair, doesn't it? Mom said seeing the caterpillar explained why some of the Sweet Potato vines look like Swiss Cheese. Hey .... I wonder if the bugs are in cahoots with the bunnies!!?!? Then Mom put the watering can away and we started to head in the house. In the middle of the driveway, I saw another bug! It looked like the caterpillar ... only he didn't have a nice fluffy coat on!

Hey, bug! Where's your fluffy coat?

Mom said it's a different kind of caterpillar bug and to remind her to spray our bushes the next day. OK, Mom! She has a bottle of "Bug-Be-Gone" right next to the "Bunny-Be-Gone". Ha roo roo roo!

Play bows,
Zim

  1. Hey Zim,

Those are really pretty cat or pillows you have. I heard that they turn into butterflies or moths but I really don't believe that. They look too different to me.

Thanks for visiting my blog and for signing my guest book. I added you to my Friends list. It's nice to know you. You guys are a lot of fun.

    Lots of Koobuss Kisses,

  3. Do you think that the second bug needs some Sibe fluff? We can help if you all don't have enough fluff.

  4. Maybe the second cat or pillow was a Chinese Crested cat or pillow since it didn't have any fluff.

Did you try to eat it? I like to eat bugs. Especially flies when they bother me.

  10. I haven't seen any of those things at my house. My mom needs to get some bug-be-gone for her flowers. They used to be really pretty and then something started killing them and now they look really sad.

  17. That is a very furry white bug. I haven't seen one before. Does that kind turn into a butterfly too?

  18. Koobie: I don't think all the cat or pillows turn into butterflies. Some of them just eat stuff. Hey ... we'll add you to our list, too! Thanks!

Kat: Maybe they don't need coats in Texas!

Tubey: We've got plenty of fluff to go around - but thanks, Tubey!

Holly: A "Chinese Crested" cat or pillow!?!?! Ha roo roo roo! Good one, Holly! Ha roo roo roo!!!
Dave told me he tried one and it was green and squishy and made Mom upset, so I opted not to eat this one. No promises on any others!

Ruby: I'm tuned in to bugs!

China & Madie: You two would get along SO well with Amber! Ha roo roo roo! Hope your move went well!

Sitka: I've seen quite a few of the ones without coats on. I think that's why Mom's getting the Bug-Be-Gone ready!

Royal: Crane flies!? I don't think I know those bugs. Are they like grasshoppers? Those are TONS of fun to pounce!

    Marvin: Happy blogaversary!!!
I think the Latin name is cator pillarus. Just a guess.

Kaos: Maybe you have them and just haven't seen them! Somebug's gotta be eating your mom's flowers!

Rockstar: He didn't say a THING! Maybe hasn't been socialized too well or something.

Guinness & Shiloh: Ha roo roo roo!

Kelsey Ann: Real pillows are lots better! We are praying for your recovery - and for good lab results!!!

Joe: Are you sure? Maybe you have the kind without the coat - since it's so hot in Arid-zona.

Girl Girl: Nah... YOU'RE the littlest Sibe - not that cat or pillow!!!

Rossi: It was a cool bug!

Amici: I'm not sure. I need to ask Stormy for a course on bugs at the SZK School of Siberian Studies!

    Play bows,
    Zim

  19. I think those furry cat-or-pillows must be Siberian. I wonder if they shed. I have a questions for the AO4. Everyone keeps telling Kelsey Ann they want her to have "good Lab results". She's not a Lab....She's a Sibe! What's up with that? I certainly hope the Vet isn't trying to turn her into a Lab because she's pretty just the way she is. ECHO

  20. I like that - where's your coat. Very sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Echo: I'm not sure if they shed. If they're truly Siberian bugs, they MUST!
I'll ask Storm about the "Lab results" thing!

Cubby: He doesn't need the coat now ... but he will in a few months! Ha roo roo roo!

    Play bows,
    Zim
