Happy 2007 and Happy Honorary Birthday!

Ha rooooo and Happy New Year, everypup! It's me - Zim! Wowzers, Amber was right about us getting snow yesterday -- of course! :) Here I am, checking out the front yard. It's not a ton, but it's SNOW! and that's what counts!

We took Mom and Dad on a couple walks in the snow yesterday - and of course lots of trips to the yard. It was a great day - just perfect way to close out 2006 and break in 2007! I hope that everypuppy had a safe and happy new year's celebration! Here are some more pix from our cool walks for you to enjoy:

This is me and Dave from the first walk, above. The snow was just starting to come down real good but there wasn't much on the ground yet. We stopped to check out the pine trees. There's a squirrel who lives in there who usually pops out to say "hi". He's a cute little guy with a shorter tail than normal. We call him Short Round. I'm torn between thinking he's a cool guy who should join our pack to thinking he's a spy-squirrel! Anyway, we checked in there, but didn't see him.

Here are a few pix from the second walk below. You can see the snow is deeper.

And guess who I thought I saw on the way home?

Hey! Short Round! Are you up there?

Seriously, pal! Are ya?

Ammy, can you see him?

Yes, Zim, I think I do!

I wanted to wait for him to come down. He never did, though, and Dad didn't really want to hang out in the 20-something degree wind-chill. I'm not sure why not.

I wanted to invite Short Round over today! You know why? It's my Honorary Birthday! Yep, since Mom and Dad don't know when any of our real birthdays are (except for Am's), we celebrate an honorary birthday that they chose AND we celebrate our anniversary -- the anniversary of the day we were adopted! (My Zim-aversary is in August!) Anyroo... I am now maybe 7 years old! Or as Mom says... "7 years old, going on 8 months". Ha roo roo roo! Everypup is invited over for a party! :)

Play bows and Happy 2007!

Zim

PS: Is it still considered tree-ing a squirrel if he goes up a utility pole?

  10. Happy Birthday Zim! Happy Roo Year, too.

Want some cats? I'll Fed-Ex them to you. That is I can catch them, first.

I'm admiring your snow. If I were there, I would be taking a sample and analyzing it's exact snow crystal content for replication in my snowblowing machine.

    Have an awesone birthday!

  11. Chelsea: Thank roo! I can't really climb the pole, but that doesn't stop me from trying! And thinkin' about it!

Zach: Thanks and I'll save you some Cappuccino! See you soon!

T-man: Thanx! The snow is cool - but it's going away pretty fast. :( It's VERY messy today and we have to get our paws wiped off all the time. I don't like that!

Holly: Thanks for the birthday wishes! And I think you got a lot more snow that we did! Ooooh, those purple Cats from here lost, too. The school mom went to's team won, though - some kind of Nittany Cats? Whatever!

Stella: Thank roo! And happy roo year!

Arwen: Stormy said Dave could run a LAB analysis of the snow then "ha roo roo roo"ed. I think it's a "Dave is a Lab in a Sibe suit" joke, but I'm not sure. I hope you can get your snow machine to work!

Thanks for the good wishes, everypup!

  16. Fu Fu: We have an on-going joke that Short Round only comes down when Mom forgets the camera. He usually sits in one of the pines, about 6 feet up, chattering to us. We stand there and stare at him. He's pretty cool!
    Thanks for the b-day wishes!
    Play bows,
    Zim
