Can you see him?!? It's the Geico Gecko!!! So I said, "Excuse me, are you Mr. Geico Gecko?" And he didn't say anything but he did turn around and look at me!
'ello? Who's there?
Then he ran back into our retaining wall. I think maybe he wanted his privacy and thought I was part of the pup-arazzi or something. Not just me. Amber.
Imagine that! A famous advertising spokesman right in our own back yard! I hope I get to see him again! I'll keep my eye out for him.
Love,
Amber
How paw-some to be visited by such a celebrity and very cool you got pictures too.
ReplyDeleteThe D'Azul Siberians
Wow Amber...did you get his pawtograph? Wait, he doesn't have paws he's got...hmmm...I don't know what he's got. Anyhowl...that's pretty good. Wonder who will visit you next???
ReplyDeleteLots of Licks, Ruby
Your yard is just so beautiful! There isn't a grass blade out of place! You Sibs must really be very helpful around the yard!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Maggie
Wow, I can't believe you had a celebrity in your own back yard. How COOL!! You are so lucky Amber!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sitka
Well, it only seems fit that the famous Geico Gecko would visit the famous Ao4!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there were Gecko's this far north. I don't think we have them here. I've never seen one anyway.
Holly
I have another question for you smart Sibes!!!
ReplyDeleteD'Azul is posting pictures of their noses. Samuel gets snow nose in the winter, but it goes away in summer, so his nose then looks like mine - all black. I was wondering if Sibes in the south get snow nose, even though they don't get snow? I wish I got snow nose. It's really cool!!
Holly
i hope he can get you guys a discount or something! that is very exciting!!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is so cool. I bet since you have such a beautiful backyard, he thought it was a spa or somewhere that would be great to vacation!
ReplyDeleteSteve
Where does he park his convertible?
ReplyDeleteThere's this stupid girl gecko named Griselda who lives in a tank in our living room. She doesn't do anything except eat crickets! She doesn't even wooo!
Ooh, was he there to help you save a bunch of money on your Army vehicle? Thanks for the favicon help in a previous post. Even though it was not my question, I followed your advice.
ReplyDelete-Magnum
What a cute little guest in your garden. We saw one in the park a few days ago. Dixie tried to eat him!! We have another question for you. We hate baths as much as you guys do I think. We had another one today and were wondering if you have any advice for our mum on how she can make it more enjoyable for us. We don't mind the drying part as long as its with a towel and not the hair dryer!! But the bath is the worst!

Jazz and Dixie
wow! I have never heard of him (mind you I have never heard of anyone so that is not a surprise!), probably to do with being Scottish I guess.
ReplyDeleteBut I am impressed you have a celeb in your garden, very impressed Amber!
I am worried though, about you going around with your "eye out", hope it goes back soon, otherwise you would look very funny! ha ha ha ha! sorry, a Marvin type of confused joke there!
love and licks, Marv xxxxxx
Awesome. Also, I love your fence! I wish I had a pretty fence like that!
ReplyDeleteThat Geico gecko guy is cool! Any signs of the Cavemen? Maybe they're coming today!
ReplyDeleteECHO
Hi Amber! Its really cool you had the Geico Gecko in your yard. Too bad he didn't hang out and visit for a while. Maybe he is one of those snooty celebrities who think they are too cool for us common dogs! Belly Rubs, Tasha & Eva
ReplyDeleteHi D'Azuls! It was very exciting! I was so happy I had the camera with me!
ReplyDeleteHi Ruby! Hee hee hee! I don't know WHAT he has! :) But he didn't sign anything for me! :(
Hi Maggie: You're so sweet! Thank roo. We keep a close eye on Mom and Dad while they do yard work. From inside the comfort of the house, of course!
Hi Sitka! Oh, I wish you'd have been here! It was so exciting!
Hi Holly! Hee hee hee!
Hmm... well, I'm not sure that geckos other than the Geico Gecko live here - and he was just visiting. I think what we normally have is sally-manders.
Oh, and thank roo for the snow nose question! We're working on it!
Hi Joe Stains! I should have ASKED him for one!!! You're smart. I didn't think of it!
Hi Steve! Do you really think so? Maybe we should have left tiny guest towels out for him!!!
Hi Tubey! I didn't see his convertible! I'll look for it next time I'm out back.
Griselda doesn't sound very exciting. Can you at least play neck-grabbies with her?
Hi Magnum! Hee hee hee! MayBE!
Oooh, your favicon looks GREAT!
Hi Jazz & Dixie: If it weren't for a little thing called a 1-inch wide, double-thick nylon leash ... I would have done precisely what Dixie tried to do! Without even thinking about it!
Dave will answer your b-a-t-h question. The rest of us here are in the BATHS ARE EVIL camp!
Ha roo Marvin: "Eye out"! Hee hee hee! Oh, MARvin! You're such a silly puppy!
Did you see the hyperlink to one of Mr. Gecko's commercial? I thought that would help our international friends see who he is!
Hi Nanook: Thank roo. We used to have a shorter fence (it was very pretty and looked like a white picket fence only it was vinyl) - but Mom and Dad replaced it simply because we could jump under it. Or dig under it. Quite easily. It's .... it's almost like they don't trust us or something!
Hi Echo! I haven't SEEN the cave men, but I'll have to look for them!
Hi Tasha and Eva: Well, you might be right. But anyone who doesn't treat everyone really, really nice isn't anyone I would like to hang out with - regardless of how famous they are! Hmph!
Love,
Amber
